This is the follow up of the piece we reported about the fashion exhibitions from the various museums around the big cities across the world. For the brand Chloé we also wrote an article in our January issue titled “Introducing Fashion Brand Chloé.“
Knowing that Gaby came from a prominent Egyptian Jewish banking family, she would never have to work. And yet she turned the House of Chloé into a fashion powerhouse. During the period she worked with many of the world’s renowned designers.
Today it is in the Richemont Group.

Mood of the Moment: Gaby Aghion and Chloé

In our January 2024 issue, we did an article with the title of “Introducing Fashion Brand Chloé” and we wrote quite thoroughly about Gaby, the founder. Then we visited the Jewish Museum and walked through the archives and arrived the exhibition’s final room with 51 Chloé blouses made between 1968 and 2022. They were in georgette, crepe de chine, poplin, organza, cotton satin and voile and wool gauze. They were ruched, gathered, ruffled, smocked, draped, and floated. They were all so familiar and so wearable in the period.
