GLOBAL FASHION AND EXHIBITION CALENDAR
OCTOBER 2022 TO MARCH 2023

OCTOBER 2022 ISSUE

Written by: Andrew Sia

Opening Remark

We have seen more shows and exhibitions that have opened to the industry. One of us have attempted to visit the Premiere Vision New York July show and found that the show was packed with fashion professionals.

Première Vision S.A. is a leading French company who has been organizing textile and fashion trade shows since 1973. This time in the U.S. the show was held at Center 415 on the Fifth Avenue and was held for two days, July 19-20.

Exhibitors were coming from South Asia, Middle East, Asia, Europe, South America and a few from North America. Missed were the exhibitors from China because the country was still being lockdown.

The booths with walls were none existed, and instead the use of racks as dividers seemed to have suited the purpose for some privacy.

There were the lack of printout materials and directories, and even the admission badges were replaced by the QR code which the visitors registered online before they were coming to the show.

Perhaps it was an evolution at this time of the pandemic. But there are so much to do and the industry should look for the change as well. We are not here to judge but to share with our observations. We hope that the change will be for the better of our industry and make us more efficient eventually.

In this issue, we have listed 22 shows and exhibitions in total. Out of these numbers, we have found that ten of them haven’t been able to announce their show calendar. In any case, we ask you to check before you will plan your visit.

We included the holidays for the countries like the United States, Hong Kong and the rest of them, so that you can avoid those dates for your business traveling and plan your stay more efficiently. For those holidays we colored them as the following:

US in Green

Hong Kong in Blue

France in Red

UK in Orange

Canada in Dark Green

Italy in Purple

You will find the remaining 6 months of the trade shows and exhibitions with the dates as confirmed. We will still catch up when dates are changed due to the circumstances.
