My Perspectives for the Exhibitions and Tradeshows

Tradeshows are important to the industry. It is the place where all the people from the industry are gathered together to look for the innovative materials, check the latest machines, study the makeup methods, look for the trends and the colors, attend the conferences, seminars and even the workshops. Meet the market leaders and key-players, touch base and reestablish the contacts.

I always found that the tradeshows and exhibitions are full of positive energy. They can be the most pleasant days during the year as in the evening you can have dinner parties in the best restaurants in the hosting cities.

You can always go home with the best ideas and even the greatest opportunities. At least, it was in my days when I was still the manufacturer and I always found that I benefitted a lot during this kind of business trips. 

In these days we cannot go back to where it was, but I would say that the rules should remain the same. Except the world could have turned upside down since 2020 when we were all hit by the pandemic. Tradeshows have stopped for two years, 2020 and 2021, and during the two years a lot of things have changed. When the tradeshows started this year, the organizers were moving ahead very cautiously. They didn’t know what to expect, who would be coming, what could be the interest. There were a lot of questions in the people’s head.

Some cities are still seal off because of the Covid, for instance, Hong Kong and those cities in China, are still being lockdown. There is the lack of any inbound and outbound visitors already for its third years.

In the last two years, manufacturing has been moved out from China and countries like Vietnam and Indonesia have found themselves to be the biggest benefactors.

Basically on every issue of our journal we will be doing the report for the global fashion exhibition in the selective cities to our knowledge. We will try to update them and try to be as accurate as possible. We hope that you will be using it and add into your calendar.

We included the holidays for the countries like the United States, Hong Kong and the rest of them, so that you can avoid those dates for your business traveling and plan your stay more efficiently. We listed those holidays at the end of the report. Please note that this report is for the remaining six months of the year.
