Franchise Opportunity in the United States
Franchising is a business concept where a franchisee is contractually permitted to use the franchisor’s business model and business idea. In 2020, there was an estimate of 753,700 franchise establishments in the United States.
Franchises are available through different types of business establishments, however the franchise industry is commonly known for its fast food sector.
In 2020, the economic output of franchise establishments in the United States was about $670 billion.
There are about 7.49 million people who worked in the franchise industry.
The following two charts are backing up these information and also provided the projections for 2021.
In the United States we have noticed the established organization known as the International Franchise Association (IFA) and they have their annual convention held every year in February. We have noted their next three shows coming up with dates and venues as the following:

Franchise Opportunity in Canada
Canada is a much smaller country comparing with the U.S. With a population of 38 million, versus the 334 million from the United States.
From the 2022 World Almanac, we have noticed that the total GDP is C$1.8 trillion and the franchise-based of C$100.6 billion in 2019’s revenue was only 5.6%.
Franchise business in Canada is made up of thousands of small businesses in every community from coast to coast. The franchise sector is the 12th largest contributor to the Canadian economy. Although the food category dominates the industry, and yet there are more to franchising than just fast food.
The Canadian franchising industry is estimated to have almost 1,200 brands and more than 76,000 franchise across the whole industry. Over the past five years, the number of franchise brands has grown 23% which is very encouraging.
Ontario has the largest number of franchise locations. The largest growth is expected to occur in British Columbia, and the number of business establishment is expected to grow by 1.16%.
There are 1.9 million Canadians projected to be employed by the franchise industry.

Franchise Opportunity in United Kingdom
The statistic is showing that the turnover of franchise industry in the United Kingdom from 1985 to 2015 is an increasing industry. Over the period of thirty years, the business increased by 11 folds.
We have a case study here to demonstrate the cost of opening a Subway franchise, In the U.K. its cost surpasses that of many countries. Its franchise fee can be around $12,000 but its operating cost can be estimated between $120,000 to $300,000 on the high side. It exceeded all countries.

Australia is an island continent, surrounded by Indian Ocean on its west and south; East Tasmania lies 150 miles of Victoria State; across Bass Strait. Nearest countries are Indonesia, Papua New Guinea on its north, Solomon, Fiji and New Zealand on its east.
It has a land area of 3 million square miles with 25 million inhabitants.
