Post-Pandemic Trade Shows

Trade shows and exhibitions are important for economy. The U.K. industry for exhibitions was worth £11 billion annually in 2019. But when the pandemic hit the world, all the revenues that the shows generated were all gone. That now only applied to the U.K. but to the world at large.

Exhibitions are the marketing tools for brands, it is the platform to introduce new products, it is to connect customers and to attract new buyers.

During the lockdowns, organizers arranged virtual events to enable exhibitors to connect with buyers but this can’t substitute for feeling a product in-person and the result is questionable.

People experienced the physical shows recently have commented that the attendees were less, on the other hand they were more serious to buy. It is the shift to more quality attendees than the past.

People were also more thoughtful and well behaved. They observed all the precautions to protect themselves and the others.

More shows will restart but this time it will be more for the trial and error and the changes will be more helpful for the going forward for a better business environment where the exhibitions will play their roles, but also a better roles for both the exhibitors and the visitors.
