It is the third book we came across what are related to sneakers. The sneaker market is already a market over $90 billion and it has a compound growth of 7% annually. We have also realized that the clothing that we are wearing in these days have become more casual, and likewise for the shoes which we are looking for comfort and functionality.

From the book we have seen thousands of pictures about the sneakers from the different brands. We have to admit that their designs and construction work have taken a very big step forward. These are reasons for the well receive of the sneakers.

We hope that this book can inspire our readers to expand their business opportunities.

Available from Amazon
Editor: Martin Holz
Hardcover at $39.49

The sneaker market size was valued at $91 billion in 2023 and it is projected to reach $145.3 billion by 2030. This means a growing of 7% compound annual growth rate. The overall global footwear market was estimated to be worth almost $400 billion. The shoe market is changing and sneaker is gaining its popularity and have been increasing their market share.

The editor/author, Simon “Woody” Wood came up with an idea out of the blue and urged to start a magazine featuring sneakers. Soon the idea was realized and Sneaker Freaker started as the world’s first magazine dedicated to the cult of sneakers. Simon began to receive freebies when he was featuring the sneakers, but he would also go out and buy them as the temptation could have been so big. Soon the magazine started a frenzy craze.

The book began with sneakers from 2002. The book spent many pages and writeups about Kayne West, who started with Nike, who then moved on to Adidas. The German sports brand cut ties with Ye over his anti-Semitic remarks in 2022. Probably he was under the influence of bipolar disorder which could be very  unfortunate.

We came to know the bespoke program when Nike reached its pinnacle. It offered NIKEiD with materials and color choices in its 255 Elizabeth Street in New York. The time was 2004. Then in 2008, in its Mercer Street store in NYC, a consultant was offering one-on-one sneaker design and began with a sketch before materials and colors were discussed.

Throughout the book’s 664 pages, we came across Adidas NMD, Air Yeezy, Nike Dunk, Reebok Pump, Nike ACG, Nike Air Max, Nike Air Vapormax, Airwalk, Vision Street Wear, Air Jordan I through XXIII, Troop SPX, Nike Air Force 1, Reebok Freestyle, Puma Clyde, New Balance, Adidas Superstar, Onitsuka Tiger, Asics, Vans, and last but not the least, Converse, which is more for the basketball shoes.

In my opinion, this book is absolutely valuable to the sneakerheads and they would appreciate the most with the contents which are very informative. Especially when there are thousands of styles being features.

Finally, I would like to mention about Adidas Superstar 35 Anniversary $35 which has a little back story. When it celebrated 35 years of Adidas Superstar in 2005, it released 34 different versions of the shoes. It selected five cities—Berlin, London, New York, Los Angeles and Hong Kong—and selected 35 people from each city and asked them to locate a site corresponded with the history of Adidas. The picture of the original stores were shown to them and only those who were able to come up with the right answer would have the chance to win one of the seven pairs that Adidas was giving away. It was the seven white leather cases with golden locks, and the contestants would have to use the last 3 digits of the number on the “Golden Ticket” as the combination to open the lock and this ultra-limited edition #35 would go to the winners.
