Canada Goose

Canada Goose is today known as a Canadian brand for its high-quality jackets designed for extreme weather conditions. The jackets are made with premium materials such as Arctic-Tech fabric with 750-fill power down. Canada Goose jackets are also known for their iconic shoulder patches and are considered as a status symbol.

The brand’s most popular models are the Chateau Parka, the Expedition Parka, the trendy Kensington Parka and the Wyndham Parka. Canada Goose jackets are highly durable and can last for years, making them the excellent winter clothing investment.

Take for instance, Canada Goose Wyndham Parka is one of the popular jackets from the brand known for its durability, warmth, and stylish design. It has the two different fits available—the regular fit and the fusion fit.

Regular Fit: It has a classic and traditional look, designed to accommodate most body types. It is a “generous” fit that provides ample room for layering underneath, making it a great choice for those who like to wear thick sweaters or jackets. It also offers a relaxing and comfortable feel.

Fusion Fit: It is a more modern and fit design. It provides a slimmer, trimmer and contemporary look. It is ideal for those who prefers a stylish and streamlined appearance, and those who don’t like to wear to many layers underneath their jacket. It is also designed to fit closer to the body without compromising on comfort and warm.

Canada Goose iconic parkas are not only known for their unmatched warmed but also their fur they are using. Canadian Goose takes a strong ethical fur-sourcing practice and its fur was first coming from the coyote found in North America. Coyote fur is primarily used as the trim of its parkas. The method for trapping the coyote align with the industry’s best practices and strict standards set by government organizations dedicated to wildlife preservation and management. Canada Goose supports the North American fur trade and plays a vital role in maintaining a sustainable ecosystem. It is only sourcing in regions where coyote population need to be properly managed for preservation of the local environment and the protection of other animal species.

But it announced in 2021 that it will no longer use real animal fur on its products starting 2022. It was after the complains from animal-rights activists who complained about the trapping of coyotes, and going forward it would use reclaimed and recycled fur that are already part of the supply chain. Its parkas would be filled with goose down feathers, and its hoods would be lined with coyote fur. Today, it sources from Hutterite down, who is a Toronto company known for its feathers sourcing from the meat industry.
